If accepted, a 43-cent cut could reach all users for two months during June and July, easing lawn care costs. The plan hinges on city temporary loss until full plant operation this fall.

The Mexican republic enters mourning as the funeral cortege for Senora Natalia Calles arrives in Los Angeles. She died yesterday while convalescing from surgery. Borger. Definite steps toward organizing the casing crews in the Borger Sanford area will be taken at a Labor Temple meeting Monday night at 7 40 o clock. H D Whitney says twelve crews operate locally with no count of those joining. Crews will refuse further work until after the meeting and demand mudding in wells before casing and double crews on all jobs. A series of fires in eight days has killed ten men, Grady Harlan the tenth, at the McMillan well in Sanford.
The Prohibition Bureau reshuffles its leadership with Alf Oftedal succeeding James Jones as deputy commissioner. Maurice Campbell, C. D. Jackson, and John Cooper are named zone supervisors for districts across the nation as zones are cut to three. Announcement set for June 13 conference with Treasury officials.
Arthur Brewer, an American coal merchant living in Guadalajara, was killed by pistol fire in a quarrel over business matters. Javier Diaz is suspected. police launched a search. Brewer, a former Harvard football captain, had mining and ranching interests in Mexico and a storage warehouse in Guadalajara.
A Texas free conference committee reached a deal on a rural school aid bill providing 1.69 million dollars annually for the next two years. Senator Moore of Greenville opposed amendments that would cut traveling inspectors and alter aid distribution, while statewide education officials objected.
Nick Harris 66 a Rock Island freight conductor living in Fort Worth was killed near Bridgeport when he fell between two cars and was run over by his own train. He is survived by his widow. The notice mentions a coffee shop at the Amarillo hotel and references the Panhandle meeting place.
