Rains Boost Grain Outlook Across North Plains

Rainfall from showers to 2 inches improved prospects for a large wheat crop over the North Plains. Areas from McLean to Tucumcary reported half inch rains, with similar totals from Amarillo to Dalhart and Liberal Kansas. Trainmen To Fight For Six Hour Day

President A F Whitney was re elected head of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen as delegates chose a three year term. The union with about 185 000 members in the United States and Canada will push to implement a six hour work day over the next three years.

Fall May Face Doctor to Determine Prison Start

District Attorney Rover intends to ask Justice Wheat to appoint a physician to determine if Albert B. Fall can travel to Washington to begin a one year sentence for bribery related to Naval oil reserves. Blast Victin Dies at Pampa

A. C. Ayers, 40, of McLean, died in a Pampa hospital after a gas explosion and fire that trapped him while he searched for his wife who escaped. Mrs. Ayers, seriously burned, was hospitalized. she may die. The couple reentered the blaze twice, clothing burned off as they searched in the flames.

Lindy Plans Round Trip to Orient by Air

Three Recovering Injuries in Crash

A. W. Phillips and Dan Phillips brothers and George Green son of Police Sergeant Elmer Green, were injured in a motor car collision at Third Avenue and Cleveland Street Friday. Dan Phillips and his brother and Green suffered bruises, while Green suffered a heavy head injury but left hospital early Friday after Griggs ambulance. Francisco Yvarra, a Mexican, driven car from First Avenue and Buchanan Street, collided with the Phillips vehicle.

Seaplane DO-X Completes Transatlantic Flight to Natal
