Promoter Fears Life Jail After Indefinite Detention
Henry A. Taylor, a promoter, remains in Ludlow Street Jail after a March commitment for failing to settle payments to Genevieve Elder who alleged paternity of her Stratford, Connecticut child. His wife, Margaret Taylor, testified she controls an estate valued between 744000 and 1000000 and will not fund his defense or settlements. The judge, Justice Ingraham, denied Taylor’s bid for release, leaving him to face possible life imprisonment.
