Stimson Sees Satisfactory Talks in Rome with Mussolini
Colonel Henry L. Stimson called his meetings with Premier Mussolini and Foreign Minister Grandi in Rome eminently satisfactory and said they advanced his aim of forming his own impressions. He plans to depart Rome tomorrow for Florence with Mrs. Stimson, following a luncheon at the Borghese Gallery hosted by Grandi. Mussolini declared both leaders favor peace and endorsed disarmament efforts, noting Italy’s willingness to participate at Geneva with a principle based approach and suggesting limits on armament.
