R T Lewis about 30 died this morning at St Anthony's Amarillo after a collision with another truck ignited his gasoline tank on a country road five miles south of White Deer last night at 9. He and a brother from Shamrock and New Mexico area hauled grain for White Deer farmers. The other truck driver’s name was not learned. Firefighters extinguished flames with dirt and he was taken to a White Deer physician, then to Amarillo. He died at 4 35 this morning. His body awaits his father and brother. Telephones to White Deer Shamrock Panhandle and Pampa failed to reveal details.
