Organized labor march gains strength in Amarillo unions
A large gathering of Amarillo labor groups discusses wage cuts and a Labor Day program. Delegates vote to fund radio broadcasts, arrange a Fourth of July celebration with the American Legion, and support a wage reduction for cooks and chefs starting July 15 1931. Listings cover union officers, injured workers, and plans for a Labor Day parade and musical event at Jack Hall’s Ranch with multiple union bands.
