Oklahoma City oil field faces possible shutdown plan
Three simultaneous moves threaten the industry in a crisis era: a Texas legislature special session to craft a conservation law, crude prices in Texas and Oklahoma dipping to about 15 cents a barrel, and a proposal to indefinitely shut the Oklahoma City field. The field could lose 250000 barrels daily if closed, with current production over 300000 barrels daily.
