Wesbrooks Cox wedding marks sixth anniversary celebration
Gladys Wesbrooks, daughter of D. A. Wesbrooks of Burkburnett, wed Bowen Cox, son of George R. Cox of Canyon, in a June 23 ceremony at the bride’s parents home led by Rev. T Herbert Minga. Attendants included maid of honor Quida O’Neal and best man J Douglas Smyth of Amarillo. The couple, area residents, will reside in Amarillo after he served 24 years in the Army Air Corps and she taught at Amienis High School and held degrees from North Texas State and Peabody College.
