Fatal Highway Crash Kills Two Men Near Amarillo
Two Canyon men, Garland Langford 26 and Asbury Baker 46, died instantly when their stopped car changing a tire was struck by Ottis Hawkins 31 of Plainview on the Canyon Amarillo highway. Langford leaves a wife and three children. Baker’s funeral is planned in Canyon. The collision occurred about 12:10 am, 99 miles from Amarillo, near Amarillo Lake turnoff.
