At Thompson Park Amarillo discussion favors placing the home at the county farm for more freedom and a better environment for youths. The court awarded contracts to Stafford-Lowden for roller cabinets and document files, General Office Supply for a desk, and noted identical bids for typewriters from Amarillo Office Machine and Russell Stationery. The panel approved purchasing tires through the State Board of Control to cut costs, with about 30 days for delivery, while delaying a Woodmen of the World request to move the library flagpole due to rededication concerns from the United Spanish War Veterans.
