Fire destroys block in Childress as flames smolder

An unexplained explosion sparked a blaze in Childress sweeping a quarter block. A locomotive derailed in north Tyler after striking frozen mud last night. The engine and cars remained upright and no injuries were reported. Local crews investigated the incident and cleared the track without further disruption.
