Allied tanks troops and artillery advanced about 10 miles along a 60 mile western Korea front in a limited offensive. Suwon and Kumyangjang fell as forces reached within 16 miles of Ddeo Ul. Captor forces GI to serve with Korean Army on front

Earmark 52 Million For Field Reactivation At Amarillo AFB
A Globe report notes $52,835,000 is authorized for Amarillo Air Force Base reactivation with $15,800,005 approved by the House committee in addition to $37,035,000. Rep. Walter Rogers says the extra funds cover barracks and facilities and that the Air Force aims for 20,000 men by June. Amounts spent so far total $34,660,000. further spending depends on Air Force estimates, though locals anticipate runway and facility work.
