Distribute Million In Claims on Land Firm

In Brownsville on January 18, the Wallace office of Receiver RB Creager began distributing more than one billion dollars in claims against the defunct W. E. B. Stewart Land Company. The amount represents about 90 percent of the total claims filed with the receiver.

Southwestern Public Service offers to sell or lease water plant

The Southwestern Public Service company proposed to sell or lease its water plant to the city or to supply water for the city after a new production plant is completed. The offer sets a price of 376000 for the distribution system and includes potential extensions and improvements since January 1, 1926. Son's Pardon Caps Long Drive to Austin
