Nash Funeral Held Victim of Smallpox
Private funeral services were held at the graveside for Roy Nash 31 traveling salesman for Upjohn Company of Kansas City. He died last night at 7 30 at the city quarantine hospital after an eight day illness with smallpox. His death raises Amarillo smallpox toll to eleven in three weeks. Despite vaccination a week before illness and an old scar the disease struck January 11. He was active in social fraternal and sports circles and is survived by his widow a daughter eight and his parents J N Nash of Kansas City. Burial at Jane Cemetery by Blackburns Funeral Home.
