The Great Plains District Y M C A moves toward formal establishment with a noon luncheon at Capitol Hotel. Judge Sherman White of Pampa drafted a district constitution adopted as the session opened led by Judge John Honts of Dalhart. Attendees include representatives from Dalhart Memphis Hereford Pampa Tucumcari Perr yton and Amarillo. Portales New Mexico and Plainview could not send.
The 21 Club of Amarillo young people, first voters in 1940, will meet tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock in the Potter County courtroom. Acting officers Jane Manning president Dorothy Ann Adams secretary John Houser program chair and John Satterstron sergeant at arms will run the meeting. All who turn 21 this year are urged to attend.
C. P. Brewer, salesmanship specialist from the Texas University extension division, spoke at the Optimist Club luncheon today at the regular hotel. A separate notice seeks the return of a lost watch and a woman requests work and child care in the Jefferson Street area.
The Optimist Club gathered at the Capitol Hotel with Bréwer addressing on The Power to Sell. Wendell Henry joined as a new member while Clark Regal presented Junior Optimist Club meeting films. President Grady Hazlewood presided as attendance reached a six month high.
Joe Banaski leads with a rough charm as he trains to face Farmer Jones in tomorrow night's main event at the National Guard Armory. The match card includes Cory Detton versus Mickey Wagyatt in the semi final, Clyde Wood and Duke Ruppenthal opening. Reservations are at City Drug Store.
