Longest Elevator Planned for National Park Visitors
Fort Sill Jan 9. A planned 165 foot elevator, possibly the world’s longest, would link upper caverns 750 feet below the entrance at Carl eras National Park. The National Service of the Interior Department awarded construction funds. Once built, visitors could reach the upper caverns in one or two minutes via elevators traveling underground, akin to city skyscraper lifts.
