New Oklahoma Tax System Passed by House
Oklahoma City January 9 The administration bill to create a state tax commission and a new tax system passed the house 91 to 1 with five absent. An accompanying appropriation of 24 900 for the commission’s expenses and salary for the year ending June 30 1930 passed 92 to 1 with four absent. Emergency clauses adopted. The measure goes to the senate for first reading and final passage is expected soon. The governor elect will sign promptly. emergency provisions make it effective immediately.
