In Louisville Kentucky a Black man asked an attorney to file suit against a cigar salesman who charged $1.50 for a cigar that supposedly grew longer as he smoked it. The man claims the cigar burned down like a 5-cent variety.
A middle western business group pro tested against southern demands for broad revision of freight rates. The Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce said the legislation is inspired by a TVA study and urges lowering transportation costs to spur industry.
