Funeral services for T. Jennings, 83, Randall County stock farmer, were held at the First Christian Church in Canyon. He died Wednesday at his home northeast of Canyon after 37 years in the area. Survived by wife Nettie M. Jennings, five sons Chester Cas Floyd John and James, two daughters Mrs. Frank Crowley and Mrs. Winifred Ehrlick, Amarillo, one grandson and five granddaughters. Burial in Dreamland Cemetery directed by Griggs-Thompson Funeral Directors.

Amarillo salesman Ruby Lyles, 41, died after a brief illness. He was stricken three days ago and rushed to a local hospital. The body will be sent by Boxwell Brothers to Waggoner Oklahoma for burial.
Washington reports the treasury deficit has surpassed three billion dollars for the current fiscal year and the national debt nears forty billion. Analysts say President Roosevelt faces a record eight consecutive deficit years as no new tax bill is expected this session.
