Daughters' Testimony Faces Father in Murder Trial
In Los Angeles on February 18 Frank Lucente, 48, cobbler, is tried for the murder of Joe Villanueva, fiancé of Lucente’s daughter Lillian. Lillian 17 and Evelyn 15 testified that Lucente shot Villanueva after a party, in their garage. The girls described their fear of their father and said he fled after the Dec 8 shooting. Defense asked if the testimony could send him to the gas chamber. Lillian replied she never loved her father and he has brought them trouble and will have to pay.
