Another Dog Poisoned in Country Club
A second dog, a registered Chow owned by Merle Barrows of 4227 West Twelfth Avenue, was poisoned in the Country Club area yesterday. Barrows’ son serves with the Texas National Guard at Camp Bowie. The family offers a 100 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the poisoners who also killed a dog named Prince in the same neighborhood.

Texas City February 18. The Maritime Commission opens a probe into a fire aboard the tanker Pan-Massachusetts loaded with 105,000 gallons of gasoline from Pan-American Refining docks for Norfolk. The blaze on deck was fought by tugs, a dock section burned, fourth engineer Walter Smith missing, and thirteen others treated for shock. It marks the third South Texas oil fire since mid December.
