Engineer Dies In Derailment Near Roland Arkansas
A Rock Island passenger train, No. 112, derailed near Roland Arkansas killing Engineer George E Haggard. Five of six cars derailed but no other injuries reported. Rail turned on the mountainside is believed to have caused the wreck. Haggard had not previously worked for the railroad out of Amarillo.
