Noel Moore his sister Inez and niece Bessie Hammonds were taken to a local hospital with internal injuries and bruises. Mr and Mrs Jim Nail of Fort Worth suffered minor injuries when their car collided with Moore’s vehicle while returning from Mineral Wells.

Amarillo officials warn of a rabies risk as scores of stray cats and dogs may be infected within days. In two weeks two young children were mangled by rabid animals. one child remains in serious condition. Police fear additional bites as many animals show advanced rabies. prompt reports of injuries from dogs or cats are urged.
Captain Frank Hawks plans a nonstop flight from Metropolitan Airport to New Jersey aiming to beat the 18 hours 58 minutes record set by Art Goebel and Harry Tucker in Yankee Doodle. Hawke will fly a Lockheed Vega monoplane with mechanic Oscar Grubb aboard. 425 gallons of fuel and 20 gallons of oil were loaded. plane speed up to 180 mph.
District civil court convened this morning for the February term facing an unusually heavy docket. Cases filed for trial are being set by Judge W. B. Gee today and will likely require most of tomorrow to arrange the docket.
Col. Charles A. Lindbergh began the inaugural Pan American airmail flight to Panama, landing at Columbia Field in Havana at 8 21 a m after leaving Miami. He aimed to Belize next on his birthday flight, with Col. John Hambleton and J T Trippe aboard while US Ambassador Noble Brandon was among the onlookers.
Amarillo’s municipal airport project nears realization as grading completes and a 100 by 90 foot brick steel and concrete hangar rises.
