Alabama Nurse in Korea Refuses Chance To Leave

A US Army nurse on the northeast Korea beachhead declined an Army transfer to Japan at her mother’s request. In a letter shared with Rep. Laurie Battle, she explains she cannot abandon patients suffering severe wounds and violence, emphasizing duty over family pressure and gratitude for her support network.
