Amarillo tri state exposition bonds will be paid by selling the fair grounds to Potter County for 180000. County warrants worth 130900 will fund a second mortgage, with payments mailed by check. Bonds to be issued by the state may be used, enabling liquidation of outstanding bills.

The state rested its case in the Hobart murder trial of ER T Miller and Mrs Rutl Hobart at 2 30 pm and the first defense witness W N Baker stenographer for Mrs Hobart took the stand. Clyde Whitaker nephew of Sheriff Less Whitaker testified about seeing Hobart and Miller in a car near the city a week after habeas corpus proceedings and cross examination raised questions about timing and prior testimony.
Neal S. Griggs of Griggs Undertaking company told Amarillo Rotary Club that Potter County has a very low death rate with rarely more than 265 deaths per year. He claimed Amarillo’s rates compare favorably with any place in the world and praised trends in mortality data and the profession. The meeting also covered real estate administration and community fundraising efforts with several local and visiting members in attendance.
The Amarillo Real Estate board will hear a talk at the Amarillo hotel tomorrow at noon on forming the Amarillo Auto Owners Club. Toney Chisum president and Charles Dixon vice president of the Amarillo Panhandle Automotive association will outline plans and promote rapid organization.
