Police seek two young men in an old Ford roadster. sheriff notes large bundles of twenties and a mix of smaller bills plus coins. No arrests or traces located by noon.

Panhandle Gas Deal Nets Amarillo Firm Big Supply
J. M. Spurlock of Amarillo closed a deal with J. D. Wrather of Panhandle to deliver natural gas from the Spurlock well in Hutchinson county to Wrather’s Panhandle refinery. A 60 cent tariff will apply in Panhandle with a four inch line carrying 4,176,000 cubic feet daily. The arrangement marks the first gas sale from the Panhandle field and will supply industrial and commercial needs. Spurlock estimates a 300 barrel oil well and notes drilling to 3,200 feet. Several Amarillo investors and associates are named among the interested parties.
