Price fixing suits filed against four major typewriter firms
Texas Attorney General Price Daniel filed anti trust actions in 126th District Court against Remington Rand Royal Typewriter L C Smith and Corona and Underwood Corporation for fixing portable typewriter prices and barring independent dealers from undercutting fixed prices. The suits allege uniform bids on state purchases in 1938 1939 and seek penalties of 50 to 1500 dollars a day.
