Escape-Convict Davis Sought in Oklahoma Bank Robbery

Ed Davis one of eleven who escaped from Kansas State prison last Memorial Day is sought as part of the trio that robbed the First National Bank of 34000 in Coalgate Oklahoma. John F Johnson of the State Crime Bureau says descriptions matching Davis and Ford Badshaw fit two of the robbers. Davis and Wilbur Underhill are the only two convicts still at large, believed to have headquarters in the Cookson hills.

Railroad Accepts Second Arbitration Plan Ends Texas Strike Threat

Southern Pacific officials accepted the second compromise plan from President Roosevelts fact finding board ending a month of tension after employes voted for a strike. The plan calls for continued negotiations on 108 points and arbitration for cases 1 97 and 100 104 with certain cases reinstated and others heard by the presidents board.

Borglum Named Texas Highway Beautification Head

The Texas Relief Commission announced sculptor Gutzon Borglum would head the state highway beautification effort. The State Highway Commission countered that only Joe L.
