Margaret Ann Baker Named AHS Choir Queen
Amarillo High School senior Margaret Ann Baker has been elected queen of the A Cappella choir. Presented to the student body during the first assembly of the semester, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Zt Baker and an honorary ROTC cadet captain. She plans to attend Texas Technological College next year, with runners up Carolyn Clark and Karleene Horton.

Frank Hoyt, county tax assessor, told county commissioners that full November collections totaled 26 346 91 dollars with 18 530 52 in November payments and 1 826 64 in delinquent taxes. First half payments were 2 603 41 and October receipts were 392 846 29, 80 percent of due, with last month total reaching 84 percent after additions.
