About 50 regional youths will take the all day Navy ROTC examination at Amarillo College. Dr. A. M. Meyer, college president, notes strong interest with each candidate hoping to pass. Selected regional entrants will receive four years of college and Navy training at their chosen college, $50 monthly pay, and full tuition and uniform cost coverage. After completion, officers will serve two years on active duty. Nationwide, some 2,300 are expected to be accepted for the program.
