Beating yoke ends in triple murder at Estill home
John Bowers, 41, confessed to police that he murdered his wife and two children with a baseball bat in Estill South Carolina. Bodies were found on the home floor. An inquest was planned in Hampton. Four Injured In Canyon Highway Head On Crash
Four persons believed seriously injured in a head on collision between two automobiles on the Canyon Highway early this afternoon. Sheriff Guy Mercer of Guymon Oklahoma among the wounded, taken to St Anthony's Hospital by Blackburn Shaw ambulance. Also aboard was J L Morris taken to hospital by Box Well Brothers ambulance. Witnesses say a north bound truck turned left onto Western Avenue prompting a southbound car to swerve. Two cars suffered heavy damage. One occupant a West Texas State College student. The other vehicle carried three men including Morris and a man named Ogle or Oagle.

Transfusion Delayed for Rodriguez Baby in Amarillo

Fort Worth to Hawaii and Back Non-Stop Routine Flight
The Air Force announced that a B-36 flew non stop from Fort Worth to Honolulu and back, about 35 hours and over 8000 miles, carrying bombs to the halfway point and dropping them in the ocean off Honolulu. Brig. Gen. J. B. Montgomery said the mission was routine and within capability.
