Former county judge J N Riggs, 70, has been missing from his home at 1410 Monroe for more than a day. Family alerted police and asked radio stations to aid in the search. He was last seen Sunday around 10 am in the house. A daughter reported sightings on Washington Street and River Road yesterday and a caller described a man fitting his description asking for directions into town. Relatives include Adm Ralph Riggs of Washington DC. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and wore a dark suit.

Clarence Peddicord, once blinded by sulphur fumes, traveled from Portland to New York for eye surgery promising to restore sight. Denison Teen Held After Stepfather Fatally Shot
Denison reports Martha Jane Miller a 15 year old girl was jailed in Sherman after her stepfather Oliver Miller aged 42 was shot with a .22 rifle at his west Denison home Sunday noon. He died last night and the girl was to be turned over to juvenile authorities.
