Fire Destroys Large Rooming House in City
Late this afternoon a rooming house housing four families owned by W. F. Cobb at 201 North Taylor Street was completely destroyed by fire believed started by children near a gas heater. A nearby residence at 102 Second Street also burned on the roof but appeared under control. The city fire force aided by Western Union volunteers and citizens contained the incident. The Coffee Shop at the Amarillo Hotel is famed for food.
