Mrs Madge M Salmon was found guilty by a Carson County jury in Panhandle for the slaying of her husband at their Groom area farm home on September 9. The jury, out 24 hours, sentenced her to five years in the penitentiary after denying a suspended sentence. An alleged confession and a contested trial with two special venues were noted as testimony concluded.
Four persons from Willshire Ohio were killed when an Erie railroad train struck a sedan in Decatur Indiana today. The victims are Alfred Stuttler 36 Hazel Lamonson 24 Mrs Kenneth Hoblet 23 and Robert Strickler 33.

Special to The Globe reports John Perkins, a negro road worker, was shot to death last night near Panhandle while repairing Highway No. 83. Jesse Anderson is jailed in connection with the killing after an earlier day quarrel. A shotgun fired twice struck Perkins in the neck and side. Ambulance Griggs.
A family of six perished in a Cleburne Texas blaze last night. Ralph Williams his wife and four children Chester nine Ozell six Odin four and infant W T died. The home was found in ruins this morning with bodies in bed frames. Fire likely started from embers and a burst kerosene can. In Unity Wisconsin a mother Mrs Paul Colby age 28 and her children Clover nine Leroy seven and Delmo five died when coal gas exploded.
In New Jersey the defense plans insanity as a plea for Margaret Lilliendahl and Willis Beach on the murder case of Lilliendahl. Samuel Bark testifies Beach confessed to killing Dr. A William Lilliendahl on September 15, with Beach and a man named Thompson seeking $600 from him. The trial proceeds with testimony from multiple witnesses as prosecutors press the case.
Austin December 1 Governor Moody outlined the state policy to arrest and try men charged with crime. He declined to comment on rewards offered by the state bankers association for dead bank robbers and would not characterize his remarks as a criticism of the plan.
