M R Duncan aged 68, a veteran traveling man, died suddenly this morning while preparing to work at the Finklea Electric company in Amarillo. He collapsed at the store and died within an hour. He had a history of heart attacks and was survived by his mother, four sisters, two brothers, and several in Amarillo. The body was sent to Fort Worth for burial. He was a Baptist, Mason, and member of Ben Hur and U C T. His home address was 807 Monroe.
Arthur L. Carnahan, a Sun Publishing stockholder, filed an application for the appointment of a receiver in district court yesterday to take over the Sun Publishing company affairs.

In Jenkins Kentucky a mob of over 200 men fatally harms Leonard Woods after his arrest in the death of Hershell Deaton a mine foreman. Woods is beaten and dragged from a jail then burned on a platform at the Kentucky Virginia highway opening. A Whitesburg motorcade returned and authorities report Deaton was slain after refusing Woods and two women a ride.
Mrs Mady Salmon stands trial for the murder of her husband John Barron at the family home near Groom. The case featured debate over an alleged confession and a defense battle waged by James M Spiller as the jury heard testimony and arguments amid crowding reports.
A raid on a still six miles south of Glen Rose Texas staged by Sheriff Joe Dotson and deputies ended with farmer Tom Whitt dead and Burton Walker arrested on prohibition violations. One suspect fled as a third man escaped. Whitt died at a local sanitarium after being wounded during the confrontation.
