Editorial urges Pierce Brooks for lieutenant governor in Texas
We advocate Pierce Brooks of Dallas County for lieutenant governor because West Texas needs fair representation. The piece argues East Texas politicians have gypped West Texas since 1930 by blocking redistricting, keeping rotten boroughs, and notes Ramsey’s gain from this system. Brooks visited El Paso, promises West Texas focus, and is positioned to watch redistricting if the Legislature stalls.
