Nazi War Criminals Released From Landsberg Prison
Friedrich Flick and 18 other convicted Nazi war criminals were released before dawn for good behavior, exiting in rain to waiting sedans after serving two thirds of seven year terms. The mass release marked the largest exodus at Landsberg since U S authorities began using the prison. The men, shielding their faces, fled in minutes with relatives in awaiting cars.
