Kohlberg tips a Korea peace deal would bar China from UN
Alfred Kohlberg at a Washington news conference claimed a settlement deal for the Korean War was made in Paris with Soviet envoy Gromyko and would see Communist China enter the United Nations, making Nationalist China an outlaw. He suggested Philip Jessup brokered the deal and offered witnesses to prove treason by Communist advocates. Kohlberg, a New York exporter, has figured in McCarthy hearings and denied affiliation with the China lobby. He cited no proof and noted investigations by internal revenue agents found no links to any China lobby.
