County Auditor H G Frosty Hamrick prepares two annual reports for the public budget meeting with the county commissioners on August 20. One covers 1931 and the other covers the fiscal year from August 1 1931 to July 31 1932. The present Potter County estimate is 39 329 000 but may change if road bond indebtedness is lifted by a special session promised by early September.

Frogs Fall Like Hail in Storm at Plainview
In Plainview on August 17, Mr. and Mrs. O J Sexton skidded into a roadside ditch while rabbit hunting as a thunder shower passed. What seemed like hail proved to be small frogs raining down. E M Ballengee collected a sack of the amphibians from his street and displayed them in the business district. Lead arsenate is noted as highly repellent to the Japanese beetle.
