Fern Gurtis Burial Rites Planned in Amarillo
Final rites for Fern Gurtis pioneer Amarillo businesswoman will be held Thursday at 2 PM in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel. She died after a cerebral hemorrhage while living in Colorado Springs. Survived by sister Mrs. Wilbur Jackson and niece Martha Fern Jackson. Pallbearers include Jim Curtis, Bud Curtis, William Curtis, Bill Nichols, Gorden Creamer, and Attis Patman. Burial in Linwood Cemetery.
