New Process Makes Cotton Fabrics Wrinkle Proof
A new process by the American Cyanamid Company promises crease resistant cottons comparable to worsteds. Tested with ginghams, piques, chambrays, seersuckers, linens, and standard cottons, treated fabrics resist creasing, wash and dry cleaning, with minimal strength loss. The finish may reduce starching needs and costs about ten cents per yard, and shrinkage can be kept under 2 percent, or 1 percent with treatment.

Amarillo AAUW guests sing in Chanson program
Amarillo Branch of the American Association of University Women hosted a guest program in Federation Club Rooms featuring Mrs. K W Adams soprano Ray McDermott baritone and Russell C Curtis pianist. The program opened with Chanson Du Papillon arranged by Watsson and included arias and duets from La Boheme Verdi La Traviata and Le Cid among other numbers. A reception followed with decor of lilacs and spires and a spring lunch announced for May 22 at the San Jacinto Youth Center.
