Amarillo Gas Company Announces Low Rates for City
The new net rates include a 10 percent discount for payment within ten days, promising one of the lowest rate schedules for a city of Amarillo’s size. About 93 percent of consumers fall in the first bracket with the largest 30 percent reduction, commercial users mainly in the third bracket saving about 20 percent. Industrial brackets 6 and 7 remain unchanged, but term flat-rate contracts offer further fuel-cost savings. April bills start the reductions, and the company highlights its gas reserve and distribution system as guarantees of reliable service.
