Burglars chased after by barefoot police officer at night
A barefoot officer chased two burglars who tried to enter his home last night. He held his pajamas in one hand and his pistol in the other, pursuing them several blocks before they vanished into a gravel alley. He returned hobbling home to recover.
City Bond Payments Update
The city will have paid bonds totaling 254,908 in principal and interest on general obligation bonds 208,930 on water and sewer bonds and their interest 74.17 in water revenue bond principal and interest and 30,475 on sewer revenue bonds by year end.
No April Bond Debt Payments for Amarillo City
The city of Amarillo faces no bond debt payments in April as routine operating expenses only. City auditor J B Lilly notes total liabilities of 6100 with zero interest due, split between general fund bonds 1946.25 and water and sewer bonds 4263.75. Next month will strain the sinking fund as bond principal and interest reach 73312.50.

Koran Delays Trial In Jim Crow Suit In Houston
