United Press reports Cities Service Company began a natural gas pipeline from Wichita to Kansas City to link Texas Panhandle fields with Greater Kansas City and markets. The 130 mile extension follows an earlier 250 mile 20 inch line to Wichita, and a parallel rural line from Leavenworth to St. Joseph Missouri was also begun north of Kansas City.
Judge L F McLelland of Atlanta Municipal Court was found dead in his room with a bullet wound to the head. He died an hour after the discovery. McLelland had served as judge since the municipal court's 1914 establishment and earlier chaired the Georgia Elks chapter.
In Houston on April 12 the seventh Grand Conclave of the Knights Templar of Texas neared completion as Sir Knight George Stapleton of Amarillo was set to be elevated to right eminent grand commander and a city for next year’s conclave was to be chosen.
Toronto April 12 Mrs Evangeline Lindbergh attended Ontario Educational Association sessions and then departed for Detroit in a five passenger cabin airplane today.
Washington April 12 reports the appropriations committee has proposed raising naval enlisted strength from 83,250 to 86,000 in the Navy appropriation bill sent to the Senate.

Charles O. Keiser 60 of Canyon dies in St. Anthony hospital and is sent to Keota Iowa for final rites. He helped found the Percheron Association of America and owned Herefords, ranches in Kansas Nebraska Dakota, and served as Panhandle Hereford Breeders president.
Amarillo Rotary club approved a large delegation to attend the district conference in Lubbock next week. George Maggard was named chairman of the On-to-Lubbock committee and will lead members departing Wednesday night via the Santa Fe as a group. Delegates aim to elect Dr. R. P. Parcell district governor.
A grenade bomb exploded in Piazza Giulio Cesare Milan just as King Victor Emmanuel and Prime Minister Benito Mussolini passed by. Milan paper Il Secolo counted 14 dead and 4 injured. an infernal machine on a railway near Mussolini’s train was found and a man hiding near the track arrested. Mussolini returned to Rome and met with S Parker Gilbert of the American Reparations agency.
In Pittsburgh on April 12 a federal hearing addressed claims by five ousted members against the racist extremist organization. A deposition from D. Stephenson, former leader now in a life sentence for a woman's serious case, was read with objections. It alleges Klan members boasted of burning a Black person at a Texas stake, cutting off a Black person’s fare, and branding another Black person with the K K K mark.
Washington April 12 The Jones Reid flood control bill won priority in the House as the rules committee set it for debate not later than next Tuesday. It could even be taken up Saturday if the House finishes the appropriation bill under consideration.

Walter Yaggy, WWI aviator and chair of the aviation division of the Board of City Development, said the airport project will aid development of city aviation plans. The site lies five miles south of San Angelo on the paved highway, with Al Henley of Dole flight fame calling it ideally suited for airport use.
