The Amarillo Country Club will hold its regular Saturday night dance for members this Saturday evening. Tolzien's Orchestra will provide the music and all members are invited to attend.
Eleanor Rider of Evanston Illinois was toasted at a Crystal Room luncheon in Amarillo by the Amarillo Music Teachers association. Emil Myers praised her musical feats and leadership while members discussed program planning and festival support.
Mrs C C Beaver entertained the Jolly 12 Bridge club with a luncheon at her Palo Duro apartments home on Wednesday. After lunch, bridge games determined the high score and second high prizes won by Mrs Guy French and Mrs Wesley Izzard.
Covers were laid for an honor guest Miss Eleanor Rider and special guest Miss Estelle Phillep along with Miss Julia Lockett W S Axtell Miss Marta Stuart and Miss McCurdy of Sham rock. The gathering included Mrs Albert Brown and a long list of members and guests including Mrs Harvey M Crudgington Mrs Gladys M Glenn Miss Grace Hamilton Mrs B B Holland Miss Lily Larsen Mrs G C McDaniel Mrs George McNeil Mr and Mrs Emil F Myers Mrs E Powell Miss Helen Strite Miss Ventura Smith Mrs Dana Harmon Trent Mrs Leslie Williams Mrs Phillip Wolfram and Mrs F E Woodruff.
Mr and Mrs Rainwater of Atlanta Georgia leave after a business visit to Coca-Cola dealers. Mr Rainwater is the Coca Cola national president. Mrs Darrell Rascoe is ill at Northwest Texas hospital. W F Miller of Oklahoma City visits Goodyear office here. Mr Wingate of Fort Worth is located in Amarillo with Coca Cola. Mr and Mrs R L Gulley of Shattuck Oklahoma visit Mrs J P Carter at 509 Georgia avenue.
Mrs R E Bridges and Mrs C W Crick hosted the Woman's association of The Congregational church Wednesday at Mrs Crick's home 1627 Hayden St. Officers elected for the year are Mrs Robert Allingham president Mrs O W Crick secretary and Mrs Joe Kingsley treasurer. The society meets again April 20 at Mrs John Maynard 706 South Sunset Rd. Country club addition. M A Crum returned from Dallas on business.
