Cardinal Kakowski in Warsaw warns Catholics against the Y M C A as Protestant controlled and urges parents to withdraw support. He says the organization is not Polish or Catholic and imperils youth, citing a pope decree from 1920.
Commander Francesco de Pinedo dismissed anti fascist plot theories after his Santa Maria monoplane burned on Roosevelt Lake Arizona. He attributed the loss to a careless boy and said a replacement plane would be assembled in New York as salvage and route planning continue.
Tonight and Friday partly cloudy with local rains in the east portion. Temperature extremes today reach 73 degrees high and 55 degrees low.
Stuart I. Wells, Western Electric general sales engineer, died while attempting to rescue a stray dog hit by an express train near Maplewood New Jersey. Wells warned the animal from the platform but was struck and decapitated as the train passed.

Bluefield report states Henry Griffith of Richlands Virginia is jailed in Lebanon after admitting a nocturnal plot by his wife and two friends to flee the area led to the murder of his wife Mollie Griffith and the Lawson couple. Bodies found in Clinch River near Sword's Creek with bullet wounds.

ELKHART Ind April 7 Mrs Anna Holler 32 and her son Chester 2 died from burns after an oil explosion last evening The blaze started when Mrs Holler poured kerosene into a stove which ignited the flames and caused fatal injuries to both.
