Auto Hangs on Edge of Cliff Near Palisades
One man with a broken arm and two others escaped serious injury after a sedan driven by Mrs J N Allard veered off the road at the north Palisades entrance. The crank case caught on rock, saving the occupants from an 18 foot plunge into water. The 1927 Palisades opening drew 1,241 autos with 4,343 people as crowds toured the area before gates close April 18. A diving display drew attention as the fancy diving championship of West Texas will be held at Lake Palisades in June.
