Austin April 1 The Railroad Commission at noon today had not issued a statewide oil proration or placed an initial curb on the new flash pools in East Texas. Commissioner Lon A. Smith said he expected the order to be issued.
Lexie Jones of Fort Sam Houston received a 30 year term after a jury found him guilty in the thirty seventh district court in San Antonio for murdering Daniel Uhr with an axe.
With no challengers filing petitions, Mayor Ernest C. Thompson, Commissioner J. N. Vernon, and Commissioner H. Ernest Smith will appear on the official ballot for next Tuesday’s election. Filing deadline was 6 pm Tuesday. Secretary-treasurer LeVerne Calhoun noted petitions require five percent of last general election voters, or 65 signatures.
