Mandel Adds Talk Show to His Repertoire
Burbank California Howie Mandel, newly anchoring The Howie Mandel Show on KVII TV, reflects on his shift from prop gag comedian to daytime host. He discusses audience expectations, past roles like Dr Wayne Fiscus and Bobby's World, and the gamble of a daily program built on his personality over gimmicks. Mandel notes the show’s early changes, including dropping announcer Brianne Leary, and emphasizes personal balance with family while pursuing longevity in television.
