A broad snow belt threatens sleigh travel from the Central Rockies to Kentucky with more snow forecast from Illinois to the Middle Atlantic. The Amarillo Weather Bureau predicts no snow for the Panhandle region though temperatures will fall to near freezing with cloudy skies.

At St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo the condition of Alton Reeder is listed as very good. The Garden Club and The News-Globe Christmas home decoration contest awarded cash prizes totaling 75 with winners across many neighborhoods. Top honors went to 8S. T. Curtis at 2115 Ong and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wardell at 208 North Kentucky, each receiving 75 dollars for sweepstakes and class wins.

Daring thieves shattered a plate glass window at the Amarillo Band House at 8 30 last night and escaped with about 1500 dollars in jewelry. Two watches worth around 500 were included. The robbery was seen by Mrs. Jess Maddox near Maddox Drug Store as a sedan fled east on Fifth. E L Smith valued the loot and noted this was his first robbery since 1932.
